Common questions.
- What counts as an event?
- Every pageview, every custom event and every tracked click counts as one event towards the monthly allowance. Clicks discarded on the Free plan cost you nothing.
- What is automatic click tracking?
- On a paid plan the script records clicks by itself: any element you mark with data-metryo-event, plus outbound links and file downloads with no markup at all. Calling metryo.event() by hand works on every plan.
- What do paid plans add beyond volume?
- Five capabilities: automatic click tracking, goals with conversion rates (and filtering the dashboard to converting visitors), a breakdown of the properties sent with your events, shared read-only dashboard links for clients and partners, and a weekly email report every Monday. Every paid plan has all five; the plans differ only in events, websites and retention.
- What happens if I go over my limit?
- Your dashboard keeps working. We stop counting new events for the rest of the month once you exceed the allowance by more than 10% — no surprise charges, ever.
- Do I need a credit card to start?
- No. The Free plan needs only a GitHub or Google sign-in and includes the same analytics dashboard as every paid plan — filters, live visitors, custom events and export included — minus the five paid capabilities above.
- Can I export, control or delete my data?
- Yes, on every plan including Free. Download any date range as a CSV of raw events from your dashboard, change retention within your plan, delete a site's analytics data, delete a site, or delete your account.
